3 Ways Entrepreneurs Gain Visibility Online

Every single person out there reading this is an entrepreneur.

Yes, you. And yes, you, too.

Even if you have no desire to fully and completely work for yourself, you are an entrepreneur.

Why?

Because the new economy -- of outsourcing, permalancing and flexibility work schedules -- has created a diverse workforce. A workforce that not only has the ability to create a life and enjoy it, but also to follow their passions inside the office.

Entrepreneurs are a unique breed, in my opinion.

From an early age, I knew I wanted to be the boss but it wasn’t until my 20s that I knew what I meant.

What I couldn’t articulate at 8 was that I wanted to be in control of my time, my choices and my results.

I wanted to be the one to call the shots AND be the one to have to answer for them.

That’s NOT for everyone but for those of us who feel that pull, it can be incredibly rewarding.

Like beyond rewarding.

Life-changing and rewarding.

But it is also one of the most difficult things you’ll do.

\Why? Because you have to show up, be visible and be present 24/7.

That’s not to say that you can’t have downtime or practice self-care, but you do need to constantly be thinking about how you can present yourself, your brand and your business in a way that gets you in front of more people.

You don’t get to do anything passively when you’re an entrepreneur; there’s always a chance to grow, learn and share.

Here are the three things that every entrepreneur who shows up online does daily:

  • Build Your Audience: Find an audience, on your top platforms, that responds to your content, shares your successes, supports your brand AND buys from you. Sounds complicated? It is complicated but by sharing the content that your audience wants to see, you’re being visible. It can be challenging at times, but even if you are able to be visible one one or two platforms daily, you’re ahead of the game.
  • Be Consistent: In order to be visible, you need to be consistent. If you’re going to share on two platforms every day, you’ve got to stick with it. How can you do that? There are many, many ways to stay consistent AND keep your business running and that’s something I talk about in my FREE Facebook Group, DIY Your Digital Empire.
  • Listen: If your audience is telling you they don’t want to see videos because they’re not watching and sharing your videos, then why are you still creating videos? Ask your audience, on a regular basis, what kind of content they want to see from your brand. That is the best way to be visible because it shows that YOU understand the SOCIAL nature of social media networks.
