How Often Should Businesses Post On Social Media?

If you want to use social media to grow your business, how many times per day or per week should you be posting?

Recently had a conversation with an advisor who said one of the things that frustrates me most about social media is that I'm not seeing any results. I'm putting in all this hard work and effort on social media, but I'm not seeing any results when it comes to growing my business. And so I went and I assessed this advisor's social media profiles. I looked at what they had been putting out content-wise and how often. And the first thing that struck me was that this individual person was only posting once every two weeks or so. That is just not enough cadence in order to make an impact.

If you want to grow your business through social media, you need to be posting optimally once a day at least. That is because the way that social media works, content that you post goes stale pretty quickly. And what I mean by that is because there's a constant feed of new content being put out, what was posted a few days ago, last week, especially two weeks ago no one is going to see in their feed anymore. And so you always have to be pushing out new content. When you're thinking about your own social media strategy, you want to make sure you're using a social media scheduling tool to automate some of this because you do need to put out quite a bit in order to stay relevant. So you can use social media tools like CoSchedule, Hootsuite.

We at Twenty Over Ten just launched a new product called Lead Pilot that has a social media scheduling tool built right into it, all-in-one. But use a tool that will help you automate the process and get in the habit of posting more than you're probably even comfortable with in order to see the best results.
