I decided to become a financial planner after serving over six years as an officer in the Army. After trying to understand my own finances, I began to notice that there was a severe lack of understanding about how members of our military and government should be doing their financial planning. Over the next six years I became an expert at helping our career officers and senior NCO's develop their financial strategies. I was also able to work closely with senior Federal employees (GS) and government contractors.
