Critical Phases of Personal Growth That We All Go Through

If there's something we should learn about each one of us, it's that we all go through life different ways. What may work for one person may not necessarily for for another. All we can do is accept others as they are. Besides, we all have different passions and purposes in life, so it's only normal that we live our lives differently from anyone else around us.

With all that said, we can say that it's important for you to listen to yourself and play your own game. This also explains why trying to copy another person will only lead to your unhappiness and failure.

Now let me share with you what I've identified as the critical phases of personal growth that we all go through:

1. DENIAL

Denial is the phase in which you want to think everything is okay, but deep inside, you wonder why things don't seem to be working in your favor. It is in this stage that you feel so hopeless and desperate because you feel that you're not living the life you deserve.

2. ACCEPTANCE

The phase is not only about acceptance , but realization as well. When you're at this stage of personal growth , you begin to have awareness of what you've been doing in your life, and you then accept it.

No matter how ugly you think your past is, or even your present, it's important that you accept it because it's part of your life. What you can do is let the bad things go and work on focusing more on what you can do at present to enhance your life.

3. GATHERING

This phase can be fun actually. This is when you gather information that's not just interesting for you, but also relevant to making your life and personality better. This is also the stage when you'll consistently seek opportunities to make money and pursue whatever it is you find interesting. Once you've figured out what you're passionate about, it will be easier for you to decide what to do next.

4. EXPERIMENTATION

In this stage, you'll start taking in all the things you've learned and you then try to incorporate it into your life. By allowing those learnings to be part of your life, you'll find yourself having new ideas and realizations about how to make better use of your time and talents.

5. CREATION

Every single one of us has the capacity to share something with the world. It's just a matter of knowing what you can give back. If you're afraid that people won't care about what you have to say, don't be. Personal growth is not all about becoming impressive in the eyes of other people. All you need to do is be true to yourself, express your feelings and opinions, and everything else will follow.
