Where Do You Stand on the Accountability Continuum?

You've probably heard this saying before... "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

So, who are these tough people and how do they get going?

The Accountability Continuum below accurately captures

the mindset of tough and accountable individuals.

Take a look and then ask yourself, am I a victim or am I accountable ?

The quote by Dr. Robert Anthony is a powerful one and perfectly sums up what I believe and have been teaching and sharing for almost 50-years

"When you blame others, you give up your power to change."

A few things to consider when deciding if you're going to live your life as a victim or be accountable for living your best life, regardless of the obstacles you will certainly face:

#1 - This life is YOUR movie!

You're the writer, producer, director, lead actor, set design, stunt coordinator, etc. You get to choose the plot, supporting actors and ending.

#2 - A - C - L

A ccept what is - C hange what is or self - or.... L eave

Many times, leaving isn't a realistic option so learning to accept your reality without blame and adjust accordingly, is key .

#3 - Life is your laboratory!

Your job is to see the reality of what is and create ideas, solutions and answers to solve your challenges. Hoping that things will change or get better is not a solution .

#4 - By declaring that "The buck stops here!" you immediately own all of the 'what ifs' that come your way and you engage the A-R-C process...

  • 100% Accountable
  • 100% Responsible
  • 100% Committed
  • The bottom line is: the 'secret' to living a fully engaged life , is embracing your power to change .

Don’t let the circumstance of life turn you into a victim. Stop hoping that others will change. Stop wishing that events were different than they are. In the challenging moments of your life, know that The Universe is giving you a gift and YOU get to decide what what the next step/action will be.

My wish for you is that you live a life of accountability, happiness and prosperity. You deserve it!
