Do You Believe You Will Be Successful?

Light the Path for Others to Follow

The passion heard in the delivery of the lyrics below speaks to your power when you believe you will be successful. Many of us have experienced our darkest night and despair, but ultimately we walked through the seemingly endless tunnel.

Readjusting to the new normal is the new strategy required of us so that we will be successful. By being up-to-date on the news and the markets, ideas for the next possibilities begin to emerge. The only caution is the new thought is to coincide with our reality.

Admittedly, I initially had no clue how I would ever succeed in sales. Worse, I wasn’t permitted training because it was apparent I would fail. Laughable later, it proved to be good news that sales training wasn’t an option. The sales mandates at the different companies were offensive, in my opinion. Had I been their prospect, I would have slammed the phone down as hard as possible; and today, I would block future calls.

Successful sales do not occur with active selling. Solving problems and collaboratively improving circumstances are the higher priorities of clientele. Staying up to date on all of the news is essential for having intelligent conversations.

While some changes may not affect us today, one day, they might. More importantly, the more we remain abreast of news and technology, the better we can build our clientele.

Long ago, Bob Dylan wrote the lyrics for, The Times They Are A Changing.

‘Come gather ’round, people Wherever you roam And admit that the waters Around you have grown And accept it that soon You’ll be drenched to the bone If your time to you is worth savin’ And you better start swimmin’ Or you’ll sink like a stone…

And keep your eyes wide The chance won’t come again And don’t speak too soon For the wheel’s still in spin And there’s no tellin’ who That it’s namin’ For the loser now Will be later to win For the times they are a-changin.’

As an entrepreneur, can you fine-tune what you offer to apply to new industries associated with robotics, artificial intelligence, or the block-chain industry? I read an article about robotic nurses able to deliver medication to patients in ICU. No matter what industry we represent, it is essential to be up to date with the change occurring around us. While some changes may not affect us today, one day, they might. The more we remain abreast of news and technology, the better we can build our clientele.

Many industries are in trouble; they will need to change, or they will no longer be. The two examples below include how a savvy restaurant owner and an individual dedicated to helping auto industry individuals are readjusting. They are also raising the bar.

Example #1

A Michelin rated restaurant has a unique idea, according to the Washington Post. To maintain both the ambiance in dining at the establishment and social distancing, their thinking out of the box may save them. The owners are bringing in beautifully dressed mannequins and are placing them at specific tables. Diners will feel they are in elegance as they dine while keeping within the distancing guidelines.

Example #2

In his dedication to helping those in the automotive industry, Ted Ings, via LinkedIn, just announced a noteworthy Roundtable Ops Meeting.  Brian Tracy, Best Selling Author & Success Expert will speak.  Register for the event by clicking this link.  Save the date: Thursday, June 18, 2020, 9:45 am to 5:30 pm ET. Use Promo Code SMOOTHSALE for a Complimentary Ticket.

Do You Believe You Will Be Successful?

You will do well to read insights from people like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos. You don’t have to admire them personally, but there is no arguing that the three men built highly successful businesses. The common thread is they are ahead of their time and contribute to a new tomorrow for all of us. As a retail establishment or an entrepreneur, how can you transform your effort into the new world?

As you begin to read about highly successful people and how they built their business, consider the following song lyrics:

I Believe, Mahalia Jackson

I believe for every drop of rain that falls A flower grows I believe that somewhere in the darkest night A candle glows

The power of positive thinking pushes us further than otherwise thought possible. As you continue to tell yourself you will be successful, the determination increases to help make it happen. The only exception is the ability to remain flexible because not everything works out well the first time. And other times, unwanted surprises may hit after the fact.

For example, your dream is to write a book. You are in an excellent environment for alone time and writing what is bottled up inside. The feeling of unleashing your thoughts into a manuscript is exciting and appears to be fulfilling. However, there is another side to becoming an author. Are you prepared to build social followings and become a student of branding, marketing, and search engine optimization?

The bottom line is, are you willing to do what it takes to be successful?

As you seriously think about our leaders’ insights, reflect on the ideas you have that were deemed by others as impossible. Is it time to revive those thoughts and create something unique?

You can view seeking work as the competition being fierce and fewer employers are hiring. Or you can work strategically to find a new one. It’s possible to improve the odds of obtaining a new position by learning to interview well. For example, recruiters almost always ask about our worst experience on the last job. Create an inspiring story about how you almost failed miserably but then recognized how to do better. Quickly follow-up with a high energy commitment to avoid the same and a willingness to inspire others to do better. In other words, move your story from the recruiter silently thinking ‘next’ to applauding your inspiring message.

The ultimate differentiator is whether you believe you will be successful in the endeavor you choose. When you to come the realization that you will be successful, the doors of opportunity begin to open. It’s your job to greet the gatekeepers with a smile and appreciation, as you graciously walk across the threshold.
