Fall Motivation: The Three Key Areas That Produce Results for Financial Professionals

Here is some motivation to help get you and your team going this fall

Summer is over, and every fall as a hockey player I would be excited and nervous for training camp. I always felt that a few words of encouragement could go a long way. After all, it is the power of words that help us in difficult and stressful times. The fall brings a busy time of the year, with children back to school and work getting busy for financial advisors , I thought I would give you a few ideas to focus on, and a few words of encouragement.

Focus on the BIG three items this fall.

If you are like me, you set goals, annual goals short and long term goals. I just finished my 90-day planning and I highly encourage you to focus on your 90-day plan or your end of the year plan on paper. To accomplish your goals remember to focus on the three key areas that produce results for financial professionals.

1. Meeting and acquiring new ideal clients.

Making sure you have the processes to find, meet and acquire ideal clients to help them get a quality financial and investment plan to meet their goals. Do your processes need a little work?

2. Servicing your clients.

Consider segmenting them into two groups, the ideal or high net worth clients, and the planning clients. Then focusing the number of hours it will take you and your team to help them this fall. Make a list of who you plan to see, and holding your clients accountable for reaching their goals!

3. Practice management.

Does your car need a tune up, or winter maintenance? Practice management is about tuning up your practice to run on all 8 cylinders, including human capital and administration, communications and feedback, leadership including your internal and external team, succession and transition, regulatory and compliance support, workflows including segmentation and financial planning, time management and technology. Are you managing all cylinders or do you delegate this to a practice management expert or coach?

Lots to think about and plan out. In the meantime here are a few words to get you going!
