Your Oxygen Mask First: Getting Through This Better and Stronger

Jetting home after a tough working trip, Leo Pusateri watched the landscape, grateful to be returning to his family and familiar environment. A sudden change in altitude and a bright yellow mask bumping into his face interrupted those warm thoughts.  Physical and mental state changed in an instant. There was a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. Thoughts about the future narrowed and changed.

Thankfully, he made it home OK. He arrived thinking some different things about his priorities and his business. He still has that oxygen mask. And he thinks the episode has lessons for us as we scramble to navigate this unprecedented time.

In this week’s podcast we have a deep and honest conversation with Leo about how the game is changing for business owners and how we can adapt.

Leo is the President and CEO of Pusateri Consulting and Training and is recognized as one of the leading experts on defining and pricing your value. His most recent work supports business owners in finding and living their purpose.

In our conversation, Leo shares ten principles, designed to help business owners stay focused, add value and manage the stress of the current environment. We talk about why, in the current environment, you need to put your oxygen mask on first. We examine how you can be sensitive to the needs and worries of your team. And we discuss what it means to ‘stay close’ and to innovate and pivot during these unprecedented times. It's a great conversation and we know you’ll not only learn a lot but take comfort in the fact that you’re not alone..
