Occasionally, many business meetings happen to be the most boring occasion for workers. However, there is no reason why meetings should be boring. With simple changes, you can transform your boring meetings to an occasion your workers won’t want to miss. But how can you remodel the current climate in your meeting rooms? How can you ensure that your employees are kept engaged during meetings? How can you have a fun gathering? Continue reading to find out how you can turn the so-called boring meetings into an interactive and engaging occasion with these inciting tips.

Take opinions on how workers want the meeting to be

If you want to see your meetings become exciting, start by considering your member’s desires. You will find out that every team is different and what might work better for one group will not necessarily work for the other. Knowing what makes your team more active should not be a stressing issue: simply ask their views on how the meeting should be. When you get enough findings, analyze them, and come up with a good design that will keep them going. It is essential to realize that a fun gathering doesn’t necessarily have to include entertainment or something of the sort.

Promote intrinsic motivation

As we have said earlier, understanding your teams need is the starting step of having a successful and engaging meeting. Nevertheless, motivation also plays a key role in keeping workers engaged. There are two methods of motivation: extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is among the most effective ways to motivate your employees.

Encourage appreciation

There is one thing that motivates people more than any other thing. According to a recent study by Glassdoor, about 80% of employed people are driven by appreciation. This gains a boost from intrinsic motivation. We are mostly motivated by knowing that we have been doing a valuable thing, and along the way, you gain encouragement to keep up with the excellent work. If you are not motivating your workers during meetings, then you are missing out on a lot.

You can show appreciation by asking your workers to give a compliment to their co-employees. This can be an effective motivator as it makes your meeting interactive.

Delegate tasks

Ensure all your meeting participants feel as they are the backbone of the meeting. But how are you going to help them take leadership? By delegating a different task to your member. This will help make them feel important. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a significant task. Alternatively, request all members to contribute points to add in the meeting agenda list and when the time for discussion comes, ask each member to take charge of their topic.

Ensure your meeting place is pleasing

The facilities you use to hold meetings may not be so inspiring. Bright or colorful lights and uncomfortable sits may not be ideal for an engaging session. Also, conducting the meeting in one similar room may create natural boredom to you and your entire team. You can find and rent some unique offsite meeting rooms that you can use as an alternative from your shared standard corporate boardrooms. Additionally, scheduling your meeting in other innovative places comes along with other benefits. It turns out that a change of scenery has an impact on creativity.
